ABOUT THE AUTHOR
In the tradition of Dr. Gerald May, Troy Caldwell, M.D., is a psychiatrist and a spiritual director. Through over thirty years of psychiatric practice and more than twenty-five years of spiritual direction training and practice, Dr. Caldwell has journeyed with many travelling souls. Many of their engaging stories can be found in, Adventures in Soulmaking: Stories and Principles of Spiritual Formation and Depth Psychology.
Though this is Dr. Caldwell’s first book, he has other publications to his credit, with articles in Biology of the Neonate, The American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis, General Hospital Psychiatry, and Journal of Clinical Psychiatry. He has also taught numerous courses in spiritual formation and instructed the spiritual direction class at the Anglican School of Theology, Dallas, TX. Dr. Caldwell's medical and psychiatric training were at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. His formal spiritual direction training was through the Anglican School of Theology in Dallas. He offers his services to the public as a spiritual director.
